Workshop on Valuation Theory in Positive Characteristic

The aim of this workshop is to introduce young researchers to the open problems in valuation theory in positive characteristic, in particular those that are connected with local uniformization and the model theory of valued fields. Subjects to be studied include: the defect, structure theory of valued function fields, elimination of ramification, recent results of Michael Temkin on local uniformization by inseparable alteration.
